November 2018

Thursday, November 22, 2018 is Thanksgiving. The City of Northwood Offices will be closed Thursday, 11/22 and Friday, 11/23/18 in observance of the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving all!!!


December 2018

Saturday, December 1, 2018 - WOOD COUNTY PERSONAL SHREDDING EVENT will be going on from 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at the Wood County Fairgrounds - South Parking Lot.  Wood County Residents may bring up to five (5) bags or boxes of paper items to be shredded onsite as you watch.  All they ask if that you provide an UNWRAPPED NEW TOY or CASH DONATION.  Donations will be given to children who are involved with WOOD COUNTY JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES to make their Holiday a little brighter!  Sponsored by: Wood County Commissioners; Wood County Solid Waste Mgmt District; Wood County Job & Family Services; and Allshred Services. 


Monday, December 3, 2018 Hanukkah begins!

Monday, December 3, 2018 at 6:00 PM The City of Northwood in conjunction with Northwood Commons presents the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony! Come on out to Northwood Commons (formerly Great Eastern Shopping Center) to see Santa, have some Hot Chocolate and Cookies, say Hi to Mayor Schimmel and listen to the Northwood Schools Choir performing. Bring an Ornament for the tree and a canned good and new/gently used toy for the Ladies Auxiliary.
