Oregon Road Project Report:

Oregon Road will be under construction until the middle of July weather permitting. The project is part of a project involving the City of Northwood, Ohio Department of Transportation, Wood County Engineer, and the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) to improve the safety and the pedestrian connectivity along the Oregon Road corridor from the intersection of Wales/Tracy south to SR 795.

The Oregon Road corridor plays a vital commerce role in Northwood and Perrysburg Township as it’s the primary corridor to some of the county’s largest employers, as well as the gateway to Owens Community College.

While the roadway pavement will be reconstructed this summer, by 2020, the corridor and its intersections will be improved with pedestrian connectivity elements like sidewalks, bike lanes and pedestrian countdown signals.

For more information concerning the project contact, City Administrator Bob Anderson or Public Works Director Craig Meier at (419) 690-1621.
